TQM is a systematic process for identifying and implementing solution and prioritized opportunities for improvement. 

The TQM approach highlights the need for a customer oriented approach to management reporting, eliminating some of our more traditional reporting practices. Performance measurement and quality improvement are not the sole domain of manufacturing industry, but detailed applications of the new management accounting practices to the professional service environment.
